It is a UH-1E. The owner posted pics on Steel Soldiers of the acquisition and restoration. He reports it as being an E model.

Sorry I missed the post as it was ongoing, but after many many hrs in the air I'm finally home again. Just in time for the Memorial Day events I am so proud to take part in here in Ohio. Glad to say while in Hawaii I took no prisoners, and left no half empty bottles of any kind. Good ole George Dickel, the 12 yr old (white label) is the type we use for toasts most often. I was asked a few weeks ago at American Leigon Post 281 how many bottles they should have on hand for Monday. We settled on 3, but now with another fallen soldier to drink a toast for, it may just barely be enough.
Thanks for the thought Clell.
