Here's my mongrel

Here's my cut mix and match special. It may be a mongrel, but it would take a plastic surgeon to remove the smile from my face when I drive it.

sweet ride- why worry about the mix and match- it looks great and you have saved one from destruction.
on the other g-503 board you would probably get hit with comments like:
"why is the upper attachment bolt driver not chromed as it should be on all A1-004-57 versions of the scupper....and you left your ignition on''
that sort of thing which I must say was amusing to read but perhaps hurtful to the guy who posted the pic.
may be the guys who have migrated over here will be kind and gentle-
anyway- great looking jeep.

When I posted a picture of mine a few years ago, Ken made some constructive comments that I appreciated. He was also complimentary of my restoration, which means a lot coming from Ken. I personally don't mind getting feed back about my vehicle. I guess it is all in how you say it. Ken is a classy guy.

This a a nice M151... Thanks for sharing it Raymond

Said the man who sells netting. (And sold me the netting in the picture) BTW, how goes the sales. Have you sold enough to buy many halftrack parts :?:

Floyd

It just a marine corps bumper. I added the reflectors and changed the rear tail light lenses to those of a gamma goat for safety after almost getting rear ended by my wife. She said that the M151 is just to hard to see in low light conditions. My M151 was originally a marine corp model. That's why my hood numbers seem different. I used the last 6 digits from the marine corps serial number on the data plate. I ID'd it as a Corps of Engineers unit as my wife is a park ranger for the Corps here along the Mississippi River. Sometime I'm going to find a set of the rear marine corps D rings and reinforcement plates.

Raymond, I finally was able to get her up and running . Let me be the first to tell you halftrack stuff is not cheap. I have even made a few trades for parts. I guess that is what makes this green hobby fun...HTN.....
