Mr D's M151 A2 arrived!!!

Unread post by toptiger » September 3rd, 2010, 12:18 pm

As some of you guys know I bought Mr D's when he acquired the Bartow M151.
I got it registered and titled yesterday { real easy in Florida, and you can carry too}
I took it out this am and was amazed. It drives tight! No differential noise. No slop in steering, brakes, or tranny. No sway on turns. Nothing like my other unrestored, uncut, original {4,000 miles} A2.
Not only that but every single part that was replaced was NOS and they sparkle in the Florida sun.
So I took it over to the antique car showroom in town. The manager was an Army mechanic for 10 years and works on mine, too. I told him to take it for a drive. 15 minutes later he came back, and with a big smile he said, "It don't get no better than that!''

The other shop guys and the owner came over to look it over and then tried to find errors: like oversprays or whatever and they were dumbfounded- no comments on anything.
Incredible is not even close to the word needed to describe it. Astounding?
Whatever but it is simply....... unbelievable,
You can view the 29 pics here.
