my self and 2 friends were invited to participate in a labor day parade this past weekend... it was a 550 mile trip with a day side trip to do some boating on the Mississippi river in Lacrosse . all went with out a hitch...Me thinks it might have been the last road for the year... :(

I really dig it too. If I could fit a 5-ton into my 3-car garage the 5-ton would have been purchased long ago

I would love a 5 ton cargo / troop carrier, to dress up with super singles and the modern three color CARC , new cargo cover
I guess what kept me from getting one was the posibility to need a CDL, if i used it loaded like my Deuce is in the picture, it would be real close to 26K..
I can put 10 K in the deuce and still be under 26K. But a 5 ton to sport around town would be nice too. power steering would spoil me im sure.
hmm I must stop & quit me from thinking...
right now I want a trailer M416 thats it... nothing more.. im done..no more OD green for me..

poof,

The photo of you, I guess, driving the A-1 down the ramps. What pucker factor did you reach? How did you secure you ramps to the truck?

the first time experimenting with loading the jeep I drove foward into the truck bed.. the pucker factor of backing out and my fat old self not being able to turn my head ... That took a pry bar to remove seat vinyl that had bunched up in the crack of my A$$... but in the picture(of me) im acculy cought /stopped on the ramps. the back tires wouldnt just roll over the bumps(ramps) in the bed. I had to power over them to get back tires on the ramps and roll down.. i tried to scootch my weight to make it roll down but that was a NO-GO... the ramps have a short tab that hooks the tail gate on the deuce bed..
when I am loading the jeep and backing in... then there is still pucker factor. but when loading i try to find a incline to put ramps on or ditch to drive the truck into.. the ramps are 16 inches wide so plenty of room for Beer, err error I mean.
