Brought the MUTT home

Unread post by snock » September 21st, 2010, 11:37 pm

Here is a few pictures of the MUTT I just picked up after unloading it tonight. I was surprised how well the old CUCV pulled it and nothing went too terribly wrong even running on about 7 hours of sleep over the last two days recovering from being sick.

The data plate says it's an M151A1 but it looks more like a M151. Advertised as a 1964 Kaiser and has the turn signals in the grill and not on the fenders. Either way I got a decent price on it, it's pretty clean underneath, doesn't appear to be cut, and came with lots of toys.

Great lookin' MUTT...radios, heater, M-60. Looks like a complete package.
Use the lights in your grill for turn signals. Easy to do, and you won't have to add the lights to the top of your front fenders.

Hey snock,

I was gonna say that that CUCV looked familiar, and it is, just saw it a couple weeks ago. Holy crap, you did pick up LtSimp's
jeep didn't you? I've seen that jeep on a few occasions, and it's a great vehicle. I've very jealous, but glad the tow went well
for you, and good to know that 151 stayed in the G838.org family.

Yep, it's Steve Simpson's old jeep. I had my eye on it for a little while after seeing it on craigslist and it just started calling my name.

The M60 is an airsoft toy but it looks convincing. The flash hider, bipod, and sights are real.

Glad it went to a home where someone will love it. Still have an encore that is a daily driver and a mule so I can still get my fix of MV's. Any one want a fully functional RT-524?

It's a nice and very clean 524. You can't go wrong with it. I had a few of them already including one in the CUCV and Steve gave me a little better deal without it. Notice it didn't take long to get another installed.
