OMP First Event of the Year

Unread post by Rainman » March 20th, 2011, 4:23 pm

I'm more than a little jealous that Shawshank aka "DevilDog" had the first M151 showing on the final day of winter here in Ohio.

Both an M38 and this M151A2 were on display at the Ohio Soldier's Home in Sandusky. Along with a tour of the museum, the Ohio Motorpool had a pair of M60's on display. An entire room of the museum is dedicated to the former Civil War POW camp located on Johnson's Island in Lake Erie.

Other rooms are dedicated to a large collections of books, videos and DVD's and display cases filled with military items of the USA

Looks like a great day Rainman! I am also passionate about learning more about the Civil War. Sounds like a museum I'd like to see.

HTN

I think you got that backwards :!: :? Didn't it start with the South firing on the Union ship "Star of the West" :?:
