The foil tags were installed on A1s on the right front rail. They were usually covered in grease and dirt.
The tag on the A2s were much more substantial something like the thickness of a tin can.
In any event they would of course have the body part number, contract and run number.
Only had one Mutt that had one left in place when I got it. All others were missing or never installed.
I recall a story where CID allegedly came to the Weare Show and were inspecting vehicles looking for those tags.
Some people removed them for obvious reasons.
Another good Urban legend!

Thanks Fil. I would have thought that the more durable tags would have been on the A1's, but there was a steel one on mine at one time.
