Is there something wrong with posting on the G?

Unread post by csmith » September 25th, 2011, 7:19 am

This is the 3rd time in a week I have tried to post and each time when I went to preview I am prompted to log in (even tho I was logged in) and when I do my post is GONE. Just spent over an hour posting about my day with the Viet Nam Jeep Club and lost it all. F, it!

Well good morning Clell, are you using IE or Firefox? I have found that with Firefox that if it does not go through all you have to do is hit the back button and your post is still there. I have had no problems, maybe all of the salt spray is causing problems with the cable down there due to the storms?

Clell, is it taking you to the message preview? If so, after you look it over don't go back one page, just scroll down that page until you see the text as you typed it, there you will see the Save, Preview, and Submit button again. :D

Thanks guys, will try again in a day or so when I have some extra time. I have been using Google Chrome, also my new laptop keyboard is ulta sensitive so maybe thats the issue. Very frustrating to spend an hour and half telling the story and have it go to cyberspace :)

Hi Clell,

Nice to see that you got home safely. I hope you have recovered from your jet lag and are back to normal.

Clell, same thing has happened to often enough that when I do a long post now I do it on MS Word then copy it over.
My new mac keyboard seems to not register all keys with the same pressure so I was sending out stuff with errors and typos- but the Word spell checker now gets most of them.

Thanks Top, that's a good idea that I will try. Home now so hopefully if Jet Lag is not too bad I will get this re-posted tonight or tomorrow.
