Our day started with a gathering at a street side restaurant drinking coffee, talking, waiting to see who would show up, deciding a plan for the day and of course standing around and admiring each other’s Mutts

Trang the “famous water guy” pulling his rig up on the sidewalk so we can get a better look! Trang did not join us for the off road adventure as he had his son’s birthday to attend. Good man Trang!

Field Repair! Trang had a problem with his fuel pump so a mechanic that usually joins the group (carb and fuel specialist) does a repair on the spot, on the sidewalk!
We drive to 7th District to find a marsh, Doc proceeds without hesitation into about 3 feet of water. After about 100 yards he bogs down.

No worries, Juanle to the rescue but he also bogs down. Now the two heavy winch vehicles are stuck in the marsh, in 3 foot of water about 75 meters from hard ground and pointing in the wrong direction to make use of their winches!
Recover efforts begin, club member with Toyota and winch in position. Winch cable was accidently pulled of the drum while trying to reach Doc & Juanle. After many attempts it was successfully re-attached.
John with his mutt in hold position as attempts are made to use Duc’s winch for recovery. There was not enough cable to reach so two nylon straps were also used but one was too light and keeps failing. This effort was abandoned.
With winch fixed the Toyota is held by two vehicles as winching begins, but first lets pull it out of the marsh where he ventured a bit too far in effort to make the cable reach.

3 hours later we are all ready to head into town for food, drink & fun but Duc gives a filled marsh a try, bogs down and we quickly winch him out
