...M-151! (Did any of you OLD guys get the Honda reference?)

So there I was coming home from WallyWorld one day last month. Driving through the next town over, I spotted a WWII Dodge Command Car and a USMC 'A2 parked at the local gas station. Not exactly a typical sight around these parts. So I had to stop. Turns out these two guys were driving down from Iowa with the MVs, to link up with another friend from Iowa who has a winter home here just 4 miles down the road from the gas station, and he had a M151 and trailor there! Of course, they invited me along, so we headed out to Carl's place and we all struck up a fast friendship. The three of them and their wives were headed for a cross country MV drive of some sort. But a couple day's later they came out to our town's annual festival, and joined the parade. So here they are, enjoy!

Carl's. Carl is a great guy, also restores old farm tractors. They drove this rig out to my little farm to get some firewood for their campfire that night. Not afraid to use their vehicles, great!

This one belongs to Ralph, but Dave was driving it. Dave turns out to be a cool cat. He is a small businessman but has done USO shows for the troops for more than 30 years as a musician. Those small/portable USO shows mean a lot when you are far from home!

The Dodge is Ralph's also, a beautiful resto. Ralph is a very funny guy, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about MVs.

Don't think so Rick. I've been told the owners of the Mid-Ohio jeeps are a family from here in Ohio.

I will plead ignorance on that. I do know that they were driving these up to the MVPA convention in Indianapolis, then back to IA. Wouldn't surprise me if they went out to the Ohio shindig, as they like to get to events.
