Finally able to post pictures

Unread post by cavm151 » January 1st, 2015, 10:18 am

I finally signed up for photobucket, so here are some pictures of my 1967 M151A1. It is pretty much the condition I bought it in a year ago. If the gas can is on right or not, I don't know or care. That's something that second Lieutenants loose sleep over, not me. The tracks in the snow is one of my favorite pictures. I need to figure out why photobucket cuts off part of the picture.

Looks good and yes, the gas can is on correctly. I certainly sits high in the rear without the rear positive camber it would normally have, unless that is the camera angle. Does it have modifications to the suspension? Love the duct tape windshield bumper.

Nice shots. Terrific-looking M151.

By the way, it's not Photobucket cutting off the shots, it's our site's software. To see the full photo on this site, just open it in a new window.

And yes, that tire tracks in snow shot is a beaut!

Question: Can you decipher the left-hand 3rd Armored Div bumper markings?

The bumper marking might be for a field artillery unit of the Third Armor Division? It was the previous owners unit designation, in Germany in the 70s. I need to fix that someday for First Infantry Division.

Thanks for the tip on picture display.

If fuel spills on your hot exhaust, guess that is the time you will care if right or wrong. Over here illegal anyway to have it filled with gas, no matter what the orientation of the gas can is...
