The one I kept, and one that got away!

Just sold this. My ugly self in front of our Volunteer Fire Dept:

And the one I am keeping. I have owned it too long to part with this one. Served as my farm helper for many years. Did a lot of work over the winter to her. I bought the M416 at a DRMO auction when they still did them on base, in 1992. I still have the SF97:

And my favorite photo, SGT Buddy, our Bernese Mountain Dog. I call him Buddy the Jeep Dog, as he jumps into the old truck whenever I start her up:

Thanks for sharing. Those are a couple of good looking M151s.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get for the one you sold?

I know the Semi-gloss OD is the original color for these, but I will say i favor the camo.

Thanks Bryan. I did the paint as we had them in the early 80's, kind of partial to it also.
I really like the desert camo Lindsay did on his, unique and well done.
Welcome anytime Seabee. Would be great to meet some other 838ers.

Beautiful jeeps!
When you go to war, you go to war all the way. You don't go to war piecemeal.
You go, and you go to win.

Very nice, both! Nothing better than having your dog with you in the jeep, not sure who is enjoying the ride more :!:
