Unread post by Horst » August 20th, 2015, 5:02 pm

After one week 4 M151s today successfully finished the 2015 edition of our bi-annual tour thru the French and Italian Alps. One week with challenging weather conditions but finishing with a ride on a perfect trail with good weather.

A short glimpse on the participants:

Great pictures, looks a bit chilly. I see at least one of the group was semi-dry and partly warm.

Not shown but first time ever since I have the M151 I installed the top. Fortunately I was able to remove it a day later again.

Ready to enter the Asietta pass

Unfortunately the first day of our trip started with rain and was cold up there. Also not even the best weather condition for making photos as in 2013.

Day 4 - From Festiona, Italy to the Edelweiss Hotel in Limone Piemonte, Italy (next to the French border)

Surprise, surprise. We were not allowed to use a trail so we had to choose the public road. An Italian lady passed, stopped and invited us. Her husband is the vice president of the Italian military vehicle preservation association. So we visited his living museum and got a wonderful Italian menu at their family owned restaurant with traditional Italian food.

And the target of the day was Vernante, Italy where the tale of Pinocchio was written. Thanks to mwmutt, sitting in front of the monument, for this very nice stopover.

Absolutely beautiful. Someday before I die I would love to be able to come over and visit that region. Unfortunately I am retiring in less than two months and the pension I will be getting will barely be enough to keep us going let alone allow travel. I will just have to be content to live it through your pictures and videos. Thanks for the sights and sounds.
