WTB: M416A1 hose assembly

Unread post by richard » June 29th, 2016, 7:28 pm

I restored my M416A1 and everything is done with one exception: bleeding the hydraulic brake system. We recognized that the hose does not let through the fluid. All other lines, the wheel cylinders and the main brake cylinder are working.

Now I am looking for the item #14 as shown in figure 9 of the TM 14&P manual. It is having the P/N 11625495. http://g838.org/g838_manuals/manual-m416.pdf

I searched on the Internet with no luck. Does someone know a source for it? Or is someone having a used one for a fair price?

That looks like a typical hydraulic brake line. Do you have a company near you that might do the work of creating hydraulic hoses? Maybe for equipment like a tractor here in the States?

We have places like that here and you can take your hose with you and they will fashion a new one based on your sample. It costs more than if you could find one at a parts store but when you are looking for something that does not exist then you have to have special work done.

Hi Alan,

Yes, we have a store here but they do not make the brake line hoses anymore for vintage vehicles because of modern laws and rules and certificates and so on. Next problem is the difference between your country and ours. We are metric. I would like to stay on UNC and UNF and not to convert anything to our metric world.

Richard, you can send me the hose and I'll be happy to have one made for you and send it back.
