M416 Tail Lights problem

Unread post by Manhorne » September 30th, 2016, 5:28 pm

Ok. So I installed a new NOS wiring harness to my m416 and plugged it into my MUTT. The turn signals and brakes work fine with the jeeps headlights off but with the headlights on when you engage a turn signal both taillights blink at the same time and when you press the brakes the lights go out....Any Ideas?

Bad ground, check the ground wire in the harness. Quick check is to hook a jumper cable to clean metal on the trailer and the other end of the cable to preferably the ground of the battery on the vehicle. See if all lights work now. If they do then the ground connection is bad somewhere in the line.

Thanks. I did not think of the ground being the issue. I will try that and see what happens....
