lunnette wanted

Unread post by Lindsay36551 » October 2nd, 2016, 7:18 pm

Hey all,
I just was given a Bantom trailor(civilian).
It has the standard 1-7/8 hitch. I want to fit a lunnete style coupler on it.
All I need is the lunnete it self not the whole hitch.
Can any one help me?
Best regards
Lindsay

You mean you cannot forge one?    That might be a tough item to find for the very same reason you need one. I do know someone that just acquired one, problem is that it is attached to the rest of the trailer.

Oh you made my day!
It might have to come down to that or just get a pintle hitch combo.

Check the aftermarket or the on the 503 in the WWII areas. I seem to think I have seen them aftermarket somewhere, I was not really looking for them so it did not register where.

Northwest Military has re-pops listed. After shipping they around $360! Thats a bunch of money but if it is the only thing a trailer guy needs it might be worth it.

Midwest has NOS thin ones listed for $300 plus shipping

Are you looking for the lunette eye (ring) only? or the cast component that brings the rails of the tongue together and to which the lunette eye mounts?

If it does not need to be a military ring that has to fit the original hitch then you can buy pintle rings at any trailer supply.
