My 1965 M416 restoration

Hello fellows, I would like to share some pics with you of my M416 trailer that I have been slowly restoring (not much time available)

Yes Jay, I don´t know much about the history of this trailer, check the markings. I think it was serving with US forces in Germany. It was overhauled and excercised in 1988, as the black marking said. It was equiped with the newer A2 style tail lights. I am downgrading back to the older lights to make a good couple to my A1 :)

Nice clean job. Its nice to see things refurbished, no matter how they are before. Gives one the saticfaction that not much work is required going forward.

Oh, you wear military fatigues while tending to such tasks or is that someone else :?:

that C-14 would mean in my time that it was with company C and was the 14th vehicle on the TOE
the battalion and higher markings would normally have been on the rear on the left side

There is nothing in the rear - only this: US ARMY, GN4874. Could this be the unit marking?

I have tho different light brackets. One kind is for the A2 lights (longer) and the A1 lights (shorter) Which one you need?

thats 6N4874, its the military registration/serial number for the trailer, the unit info would be painted on the frame rail in the back.
