Trailer manufacturers

Are there any of these trailers that are more rare than others? Either by production numbers or manufacturers themselves.

Okay I have 3 trailers. Two are manufactured by Johnson Furnance Co. dated 2/65 and 8/66. The other is a Stevens dated 11/67. I wonder what other companies were producing these trailers. Also who was the last to produce them and what year?

The Stevens trailers was manufactored in the East Cost (Edensberg, PA) and the Johnson Furnance Co (BELLEVUE, OHIO) early & (Kansas City, MO) late manufactored in the Centeral U.S.

So at my best guess is that there is probably a manufactor on the West Cost. So I suspect that there where about 3 with the third to be revelied to keep shipping cost down. Also a note the West coast manufactor of the M416 was probably destined for VN only and thats why we don't see any as of today.

Now the question is, was these plants an assembly plant with the components coming from variouse other plants. I sent Stevens an e-mail and see what becomes of it.

I did e-mail the STEVENS COMPANY and they came back with " We never manufactured the trailer you mentioned. So you have the wrong company" so with that I rechecked the address and all checks out but they still denie the manufactor of the M416's / M416A1's.

The final production was by Parkhurst Manufacturing Company, Sedalia, Missouri. This was the M416 with override brake system, (M416A1).
The one I have is dated 8-78.

From the looks of it and the date range of the M416 came out with M151A1's starting in 1965 and the M416A1 came out with the M151A2 around 1969 + / - a year. With all of the trailers used to pre 1965 was probaly M100's because I haven't seen any M416 earlier than 1965 and the inventory was growing thin on the M100's so a new trailer was in the makings.

So if a person has a 1964 and earlier M151 then the M100 trailer would be more correct to complete ones set up. But all will work with all.

That sounds like the answer you will get from Holley when you ask them about a Holley M151 carburetor.
