Well, lets see. I quit the drugs thirty years ago, quit smoking twenty three years ago and quit drinking five years ago. No, life isn't over, it is just a lot clearer! I don't miss any of that stuff and I will still have a couple of beers on a special occasion.

One day, I have to tell you guys about my BOQ in VN but I don't want to go a bit to far off topic so I'll just say this:
I had one of those keg fridges, tap on the outside.Oh...and a auto ice maker and glass chiller, too. That and my air con sucked a lot of power what with both fridges running, my plasma 6ft wall mounted tv combo entertainment system, satelite feeds, hot water heater for my hot tub, and the burger grill and bun toaster on. It would dim the lights at the north end of the Bien Hoa airbase.
Finally solved that problem with my crew and a nearby, unsecured 1st Cav pump station with a brand new 5,000KW genset. The flight took 18 minutes and was logged as a combat night assault so we could get some credit for out next Air Medals. That bad boy made a bit too much noise so close to our quarters so we built a bunker around it. Feed my crews barracks too.

Hey Top, That BOQ gets better every time you describe it. I am going to have call you on the genset though. You can't log combat time in a Sikorsky heavy lifter which is what you would need for a 5 MEGAwatt genset.
Now a 50kw, NO problem. I am sure you just miscounted the zero's. I am positive you would never lie about your living quarters.

5,000KW = 5,000,000 watts = 5 megawatts.

rick, I just flew the thing out, I have no exact idea what size it was but as I never exagerate anything, I'll take your word on it. It was yellow and big if that helps. like the size of a M-416 so I can stay on topic......... all I know is it could run all my stuff, even the Maytag washer and dryer combo I had on my terrace next to the Webber BBQ grill, and more.

Looks good jeff, I have most of the old paint and crud scraped off my frame and will take to work one day next week to use the water&sand plaster on it then prime and paint, I'll post some photos later. I need to replace the floor in the tub! :(

The metal work is PERFECT on this one. The only downfall with it is that it looks like it sat in a damp dirt floor area as the bottom is starting to get rusty. I currently dont have the set up or the time to sand blast it. I had thought about taking it to someone but it will need to wait. I am cleaning it up the best I can and hitting it with rusty metal primer to help slow it down so I have something to restore in a few years. Till that time, I am going to give it a quick shot of paint next week and hopefully have some markings on it before memorial day weekend.
