I had help from salt6, who would look online all the time, and refer the leads to me. Also, I found one for a friend of mine on craigs list. You might try that one, it works better than ebay. Good luck, Seabee

Here is one that I have for sale. It is in Arkansas.

Better snag it now. I'm looking for an M151A2. As soon as I find one, this trailer becomes part of my permenant collection.

Better "snag it now" ??? Is there a line of buyers?

At $1200, I am willing to wager it will remain in your permanent collection for some time. Yikes!

I agree that's quite a bit for an M416, but that top has got to be worth a couple hundred bucks. The canvas ones sell for a hundred, and that's a fairly rare GI trailer hardtop. I never got to use one, but here's another example that's more in my price range. :)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your welcomes and I am sorry for the slow reply to your postings, only just got time to look at the site again.

I did find a very nice M416 as a result of my posting so I am in debt to this site for sure.

I am usually too busy running M.V. Spares to find time to work on hobbies like restoring my own vehicles but I am looking forward to doing the restoration of my M151A2 and expect to get on with it early next year, for some time I have been gathering all the NOS parts I can find in preparation for the work ahead, I already have a NOS body (the original one is uncut but very rusty) NOS transmission/ Transfer, NOS Engine (in case the original is a disaster), a full set of Weebee Canvas and a real big box of other NOS parts, even got a NOS rotisserie so it should all come together and to be honest I am excited at the prospect of doing this particular vehicle.

I have always had an interest in Vietnam Era Mutts because of the Australian involvement in Vietnam and family connections involved there also, another reason I want an M151A2 is to complete a collection ranging from a Willys MA, 4 wheel steer GP, 1944 & 1945 GPW, M38A1 and finally the M151A2 so I will then have a broad representation from the first to the last 1/4 Ton Military trucks, all that said since I started on the M15A2 I have really fallen for them, so much so I also recently purchased a low mileage one that I believe was a Barstow Mutt so when finished I will have two of them, one restored and one original.

Clearly I have a wonderful and understanding wife :D .

Will take some pictures and post when I can, I am off to the USA next week and won’t be back home till middle of September.

I guess a lot of what I have said does not belong in the trailer section but that was my first and thus far only posting.

Regards

Darcy Miller

Darcy, Be sure to contact some of the G838 members when you get over here. I for one love to meet members from other countries, problem is that I live in NJ and nobody visits New Jersey. I did get a visit from Trey and his wife from the Philippines.

Guys, my wife and I are going Davenport Iowa for the Antique Motorcycle Club of Americas show which we go to every year, will only be in the USA 31st August till 9th September, Davenport till 5th September then back to Santa Rosa CA for four days then head home 9th.

Then we will be back around the 10th October to load a container at Santa Rosa.

We will have had four trips to the USA in four months and possibly another in November, we often have this sort of schedule late in the year, at Christmas we are going to have a rest.

I will get pictures posted of my Mutt and other Jeeps when I get time but as you might imagine we are extremely busy with M.V. Spares between trips.

Oh and Rick, I have been to New Jersey, a few time in the past 30 years and will possibly be there again next year.

Regards

Darcy
