Hey Dan, why didn't you clean up the leaf springs before reassembling?

Dan: Looks good, are you using two different primers? How do you keep all those Fl no seeums out of the paint?

Cobra5, I have another set of springs that my Son took back to Balto. to have rebuilt where he works, :D he will put new bushings in the main leaf, replace the center bolts after checking all leafs for cracks and wear, and replace the 4 bands. He will also bring me 4 new U bolts, as the ones on there now are too thin. 8)

Floyd, yes, two different primers, I did all the small parts at work with spray cans, the frame and other parts were primed with the Dura Build primer, as for the "BUGS" I use a fast dry thinner and can usually pull them out wihtout their leggs. Image

SEABEE62, NO! They are MV owners Wind Chimes!

csmith, THANK YOU! :D

A little update on the trailer, the frame has been painted and the "flat bed" floor that I'm using has been cleaned and coated with bed liner.

Hey Dan,
"Flatbed floor", when did that enter the picture? Your leaving out some pretty big details. :D

:D My tub needs a floor :o , Ed had parts of a flatbed soooo, I am going to make it a "transformer" , the idea is to cut the bad floor out of the tub, leaving enough along the edges to mount the tub on the flatbed when I need a trailer with sides. The flatbed fenders will be mounted to the frame and will work when the tub is on. I'll post this work in the modification forum as I do it.
