Yes it does have the blackout light, it is on a bracket that sandwiches between the light and mount. I don't have any pictures that I know of since mine has been apart for a couple of years. I think Ralph or Mr. R had some good pics of the wiring though.

THANK YOU FOR THE PICTURES
link, its all a big help.
I like the bow's on your trailer Rick.
I will make some similar..
now back out to the ice box to putz with it some more.
man! its cold out side.. I also have to reconnect all the trailer plug wires on the jeep... they are there but unplugged.. and when I was painting and doing the jeep, I didnt hook them back up.. bifocals wont work at the right distance to see the numbers and the space is to small for my fat head to get in close enough to see.hmm

Ok this is what i cobbled together.. from the pictures you sent.. question.. do I have the spring on the power cord in the correct location, or dose it go on the plug end?

I managed to get the pintle off too this trip out side..I will clean it up a bit and install in top hole..
the data plate missing is the small one that is located foward on rail passenger side..
next I will have to work on getting the lens covers off the tail lights.. they are metal ones and the screws are being stuborn..
they are doing the penitrating oil thing now..
Thanks again.
J.P.

I will walk out in the cold here and see about the spring but I think it is on the plug end. It is a strain relief. I have to go out anyway to get more wood. I am starting to run low!
Putting those rubber plugs together in the cold might split them so be careful.

The spring is correct and goes under the clamp just forward of it above the lunette. My lunnete is in the bottom hole and the trailer rides level when on the vehicle. You can always change it to what is best once it is done. I still think the higher setting was for the M-37 and M-715.

Yes, there is a little bit of the trailer missing but that is as far as I got. That was last years snow.

TM 9-2330-251-14&P shows the spring under the cover and under the clamp that holds the cable to the frame. :)

Thanks Dan, Now I know the spring on my m-100 is in the wrong place. That was what I looked at after I realized there were no wires on my 416. I would guess the 100 and 416 should be the same.

Global warming my ass! This is the coldest winter we have had here in 30 years. Ask the people in the south about global warming. You know, where Al Gore would be if he wasn't on an island enjoying global warming.

J.P. To my knowledge  "ONLY" the A2 series had the safety chain bracket, the others used the shackles.
