Post-War Bantam Trailer T3-C 1948

Unread post by platoonboss » July 15th, 2011, 1:58 am

Here are some pics of my Post-War Bantam trailer that I picked up last Summer.
Here it is parked in Weymouth, MA. Note the price
Image
Here it is in my driveway with the damaged tailgate removed. (Actually, it removed itself on the way home)
Image
This is a shot of the civilian-type ball hitch
Image
Priming the bottom. Repaired tailgate re-attached.
Image
All primed
Image
Inside primed. Outside finished
Image
Painted, but before bedliner sprayed
Image
Painted, re-wired, new lights. All done, but wood and canvas still need work. I believe that this trailer only had one tail light on the left because the right one was surface-mounted, probably a later add-on.
Image
Almost forgot the data plate.

To find out the year. Look at the serial number on your Bantam tag (upper right corner).
Go to the following site, and scroll down until you find the serial number closest to yours.

Thanks Ralph,
25158 puts it in the 48? area, but between two of the 48?'s. I couldn't find any other site with a definite cut off.
Bob.
