They do not normally carry one but I think it is a good idea. I had a M-100 that had a slide in rack for a spare. It came out of the military that way so I guess they figured it was a good idea also. I would figure that there was a lot of overlap between the start of the 416 and end of the 100. I am sure there were a lot of 151's pulling 100's and even though I think the bolt pattern will work the offset on a 151 rim would not work on a 100 trailer.

Think some of the larger trailers like the M101 & M105 might carry a spare tire mounted like 199's but I'm not 100% on that. Like you Rick, I too would also carry a spare for the trialer. Why not? Are trailers impervious to getting flats? I've actually been thinking more & more about getting an M416 (& an M101 for my M37  ). Be a nice addation to the A2.

M101's started carrying spares when the M37 's were surplused off. the trailers normally use the same tire and wheel as the pulling vehicle. Now is the time to get a nice 101 cheap on GL, I just recently got one in beautiful condition, no rust, new tires (including spare) new wiring and lights, etc., for $240.00...

I have noticed how many really nice M101s have been showing up on GL lately. I was never really a "trailer guy" until recently and have been thinking more & more about registering with GL so I can start the "fun". I'll have to PM you for some tips and answers to questions I have about the whole GL proccess.

The M416 is the correct trailer for the M1009. So a spare would be a good idea.

No EUC for my trailer mounted air compressor. Within a week of auction close, I drove the 151 in and towed it out.
