I am looking for ideas for a hard top/cap for my M416. I'll probably end up building something from scratch. I'd like it to be adjustable in height from about 6" up to maybe 30" above the trailer sides.
Another option I have been thinking about is a frame and soft top combo similar to the Can-Back pick up tops or the M151 soft tops... I was thinking of designing and building a set of bows and having a a soft top sewn up: zippered sides that roll up...
Any pictures or ideas of existing tops would be appreciated. Any thoughts on the soft top project are welcome too...

Stake pockets on the side of the tub. Make the bows ajustable in hight.

There are several 4x4 forums out there and the guys with the jeeps re-purpose these trailers to meet their needs. You'll probably find someone has already done what you are trying to accomplish so you won't have to recreate the wheel. BTW welcome aboard and good luck.

It is in German, but the images say it all.
