M416 Leaf Springs

Unread post by LK9319 » March 26th, 2015, 9:55 am

I need a set of leaf springs for a Stevens M416 that was manufactured in 1966. Any parts in reasonable condition would suffice, thanks.

You also may want to check any spring shops near you as it may be cheaper to have a new set made than to pay shipping on a set. Check both ways.

The spring shop down here closed last yr and now I need a set too! Aghhh. Go figure!
Remember these springs are the front 10 leaf springs on MB,CJ2A,CJ3A,CJ3B jeeps. I've read some folks have put the standard 8 leaf springs on for a softer ride. Also, the ubolts for 10 leafs and M416's are 6 1/2" long but the ones for 8 leafs I think are a little shorter.
