Hey Cstaup,

You got more on ebay than you got in 1st person offers, nice job! All you need now is a UPS truck with a pintle hitch on it to send it to a new home. Congrats Chris :)

Glad to see it made that high, I had my dobts for a while there. That is only 80.00 short of your original price isn't it?

Honestly, I had a very good deal going with a board member, but as fate would have it, it fell through.

Lets just say anything over 750 , I consider gravy.

Man, This thing has a Hex on it. The "winner" wants to back out. I'll give the rest of the bidders a second chance

Somehow I don't understand this "Backing out" thing in an auction? If you bid and win it is yours, period. The only way out is if it is misrepresented which I do not believe is the case here.

Yeah, I didn't know you could 'back out' of an auction deal. I guess you could just not pay for it, and then get an 'unpaid' infraction set against you in the end, but I think that keeps you from being able to bid and sell for a little while.

Did the guy just decide that the 'shipping' was going to be too much money or hassle? This thing does have some sort of curse on it. Maybe you should just stick a 'for sale' sign on it and put it in your front yard and forget about it. It's not like it's going to need any more money from you to keep it sitting there.

TX, you nailed it. He has never bid on anything before this trailer. He didn't realize that he was Responsible for shipping it to his place. However the second chance bidder will send me the money first, wait for it to clear and will come to Sunny Dayton to pick it up.

This looks good, he won at 1099.99 vs 1120.00 and his screen name is Mike151A2.

Seems promising

Yeah, Mike sounds like on of us for sure. He won't paint it gloss black, add chromes & radial tires, cut a tailgate and pull it behind a Rubicon!

cost for peace of mind = $21

preserving a piece of history, = priceless!

Way to go Chris! :D

Well, it's really gone now. I met the buyer up in Wapakoneta. Hope he jumps on this site. Thanks y'all for the good words.

He got a good trailer, all new grease fittings and sandblasted and cleaned inside the lunette and reciever respectively. Hey I would have settled for a lot less. I had to make it a bit nicer, or I couldn't sleep at night.

Don't tear me up on the golden rule thing.
