Winch ID

Unread post by salt6 » August 13th, 2009, 8:44 pm

This was on the front of my MUTT. I took it off because it was tearing the front bumper mounts out. Anyone got any idea what it is? The guy I got it from was an active duty marine and had installed it on the front bumper.

Did I mention it's HEAVY.

Looks like a Warn 10,000 lb.. Is it electric or hydraulic? If electric is it 24 volt? I notice you have the mutt on the trailer backwards??? That is putting WAY to much weight bias towards the back of the trailer, You need at least 7-10% of the total load on the tongue for stability. Is the left front suspension bent? Even pulled down tight it should not be bent like that.

It's 24 volts.

Photo is about two years old now, and yes I figured that out on the drive home. :D

Prepping for a total respray. It has the wrong springs on the front. Got replacements from HK awhile back just haven't had time to put them on.
