Electrical Test Adapter Set needed??

Unread post by whiterabbit » March 9th, 2014, 10:19 am

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Military-M3 ... b8&vxp=mtr
new old stock Sun Electric WPW-10 Military Engine Electrical Test Adapter Set
"The set is complete with the instruction manual.
It has never been used."
I don't need one, but $90 bucks if anyone was looking for one.
I have nothing to do with the seller, just came across it.
Couldn't figure out where to post this. If it's in the wrong place then please move or delete.
Thanks,

Ha! I said I didn't need one but I found one at the fleamarket over the weekend and a dwell/tach set for 20 bucks for both!

The dwell & tach looks like it was never used!
The timing light plug wire adapter has me confused though.

In the adaptor box is a fixture that goes on number one plug .
Connect the timing light wire to the brass stud on the side
This is what you need to do to get a timing pulse on a shielded ignition wire.
Does this make sense?

You know, Back in Fil's day, when timing lights had to be hooked directly to the spark. OK, I have to admit, I was around for that one.

LOL. What had me scratching my head was that it was put together backwards. Look close at the pic. The plug end was screwed into the wire end. :?
Once I figured that out and swapped the bits around I have used it to great success. Beats the piece of plug wire jammed into the dizzy and plug for timing.
The Dwell/Tac meter is 12V so I'll use it for my other projects.

The tach dwell meter is used by connecting between the ground and the twelve terminal of that battery Not the 24 volt terminal.
Have the same unit and use it that way.
