Yep, I have seen quite a few of those rare 50's M-151's on Craigslist.   Figure the first one was a 59 but I don't think anyone has ever actually seen a 59. Several 1960 models have shown up.

WOW! That is really, really nice and with a little searching it could be perfect. Not all that far from me either.
Hood latches, windshield, front bumper and mags. All I see that are needed to make it perfect. Even has the right period radios and canvas top.
Looking closer at the body lines where the panels meet I can see it has a lot of bondo but to me that alone is not a deal breaker depending on how the bottom looks.

Tempting, I have one but to make mine right I need four more. Right now I am putting my funds into the M37.

OK, now I'm curious. Where is the separate blackout stop lamp? I don't see it, or the hole on the right side above the service drive lamp. Is this a feature of the very early (twin cowl vent) M151?

The straight 151 would not have the rear blackout light (at least from what I know). I'm curious about the front turn signals. Should they be on there? Not being one of those guys that picks everything apart. Just curious. That is about 1.5 hours South of me.

Straight M151s did not have turn signals.

Here is a straight M151 in Tennessee, supposedly uncut but lacking data plates.

I thought the m151 originally did not have turn signals, when they were added, it became a m151A1

That is a straight 151 that has had turn signals added to it by the owner. Much safer than hand signals! You will find that the front fenders do not have the reinforcements for the turn signals, they are most likely just drilled holes in te fender. Straight 151's have no rear blackout brake light. They all have blackout markers, all military vehicles back to WWII have them.
The A1 had a lot more changes than just turn signals.

Memphis $3000 Looks like a possible early... 62, 63 maybe. No turn signal reinforcements, no third black out on rear, only one vent cowl but does have shovel handle brackets.
