I'm not so sure about that.... I think it is a heavily "Bubba modified" early M151. Lots of welding to extend the fenders and such, but the base vehicle looks like an original body.

OK, Sports Fans!!! I was overcome by this one... I flew up to Detroit on Thursday, loaded up and hauled two of them back with all the parts. The encore will be shipped. The 1962 M151 is the best one I've seen. Need to mess with it a little to get it fired up, but I think this is a good one. All the stuff on it is very early, from the hood latched to the adjustable seats. The 1967 A1 is a real "Franken-jeep". A2 fenders on the front and rear. It was cut and put back together. Needs a lot. I'll sell it cheap. The Encore looks like it just came off the factory floor. Even with all the MP stuff, it is amazing. All three are for sale, along with a 50 cal cradle, and an M4 mount with cradle, ammo holder, and resin M60. Also have a full set of mag wheels.

This was a grueling trip, but really worth it.

Vin

Shhhhhhhh, he's napping.

Not m151's and I think both seem slightly overpriced.

Look under General Topics - How-To tutorial on how to post pics. It's easy and it's free.

good that it worked out for you Vin. My brother in law, who lives less than 35 miles from this guy, repeatedly tried to engage him to set a date and time to look the stuff over and purchase. The seller was not at all responsive nor willing to set a meeting time. Beyond a few cryptic texts, any attempt to have a conversation, by phone or in person, were not successful due to the sellers indifference (the seller would not answer his phone, nor return calls). Also, the advertised deal kept changing from all or none, to the 3 vehicles with the parts and not the other pile of related militaria, to just the 3 vehicles. Bro in law was prepared to take it all, as per the original listing, but couldn't arrange a date and time with the guy. It seemed like he was running a quasi auction. We wrote him off as a flake.

I have run into a couple deals like that, just right place and right time to catch the person in the right mood. I have been on Vin's end and on Dave's Brother in laws end. I think it is a part of the vintage vehicle hobby as a whole. I know there are several times I have put a vehicle for sale and had second thoughts. Most of those vehicles I sure wish I had back!

VPW or Midwest Military will snap up that first one. They grab any and all Dodge stuff they can get.

The one on Long Island will be coming to my home soon. Surveyor posted it a couple of weeks back. I found it on another site. Will be converted to a USMC version. This site is great. Thanks to everyone for making it something special. Learned so much over the past two weeks.

Look close at the one picture on that ad. The gas can is mounted high.... the rear bumperet is way over near the side..... the four holes on the top of the rear fender.... (that's where the ROPS is mounted on Encores and Titans.... I think that is not an original A2 body....
