How do i get the rivets out of the data plate on the engine block with out damage to the plate? thanks Ken

I removed them by grasping the head of the rivet with a clamp or pliers and turning it to the right while pulling it. It was a bit difficult for me, but in the end I succeeded.

Thanks. I thought it was a drive screw but wasn't sure of the direction when pulling .

It's a rivet.
The rivet has a round head and then spiral-shaped wires. when you put them in one blow, the spiral opens and the plate remains gripped.
You need to pull and at the same time make this spiral smaller so that the rivet comes out.
