Jeff, That is old info, I already knew he had the dot com address. He had made a comment about starting up a new forum and I was asking for clarification. I honestly do not understand what it is that you have against this forum. Every time you come on here it is negative. We all buy parts from you, why not give us a break?

rickf, {sir!}, am i missing something?
if you look on the G 503 site index {G503.com Message Forums Forum Index} then scroll down to the section for M151s, its full title is G838, MUTT, M151, M151A1, M151A2. Yeah, I know, I never noticed it either before the subject came up.
It would appear, then, that Ron already, and for some time, has a G838 site
I couldn't find the original post by ron but can't see that it would make any sense to start another site with the same handle.

oh, yeah one other thing, rick, you were not alone.
I didn't get Mr D's reference either, but since i feel that i kind of know him thanks to his posts and his un-asked-for support for me back in the 'banning' episode on the G-503, I, too, was shocked at first.
Then i figured he is of another generation, probably went to a fancy college, drives a wonder of late 1950s british engineering, and, of course he does wear a rainbow wig from time to time so i must have missed the point altogether.
So I google'd
his father smelt of Elderberry
then it all became clear, I think even ron got it before i did, but it blindsided you. so don't sell your mutt, relax and have a few.
Now if you want to talk Porsches.....
happy new year, too.

At the time Monty Python was popular I was bouncing between long haul trucking and heavy equipment operation. I was working just about all the time and did not have time for tv. I still do not watch much tv, even when I am laid up I would rather read a book. Maybe I was a little harsh but the initial tone of that conversation did not lend itself to jokes. Maybe Ron caught it and you googled it but I missed it because of the initial comments. If I missed it then so did others. Have you been watching the poll? Right after that exchange we lost a few points, coincidence, maybe but maybe not. If I came into a new forum and that is what I saw I would not come back.

Jeff, this horse has been beaten into hamburger! The 151 general section did not come about until after this site was established, maybe because of this site, I don't know. The general section on the Gee is a conglomeration of ALL of the forums on the site, 99% of which are of no interest to the 151 guys. On top of that whenever you would post in the general section over there you would always have a troll come in to start crap, Always! I spend equal time on both forums and so do most except for the ones who were really dumped on or who got tired of the trolls. Therefor the knowlege is not lost nor diluted. A lot of people have my e-mail or phone number and can contact me at any time for advise. Ron was the one who said to be on the lookout for a NEW G838 forum. That is where my implication came from.

Okay guys, I think this has been gone over enough, for whatever its worth, this site was NOT created out of any vindictiveness or ill feeling toward Ron or G503. It was only done to try to save the information resources and sense of community among the 151 owners which it seemed at the time would be lost. I still regularly visit Rons site, and I still encourage everyone to do likewise. All this discussion here of whatever is going on at G503 is becoming counterproductive, and starting to create a negative effect here. If you have differences with G503 or Ron, I'd suggest you voice them there, not here. Please.....let it go, and move on. We have this site now, what went on there is water under the bridge....this site is what we will make of it.

Moose, ok, i won't post anything there about this issue, and my r new year's resolution still holds...
BUT, see what happens when you post a simple one liner on the G-503 saying this new site exists and provide the address. I did saturday am and mine was posted correctly in the 'new' general discussion group. it was quickly taken down.....not just deleted or moved but totally vaporized- no trace....except ron or the moderator wasn't quite smart or quick enough- someone replied so i when i tried to respond to that, the message i got was that the post does not exist.
you guys can try it your self if you don't believe me. But I could not have proved i posted anything except for
this reply which proves that my post did in fact exist, gives the title 'Another M151 forum' and provides the message #629659 ....

Ron pretends to be one of the guys here on this site now with all his smileys and good ole boy slang but he is a not.
So Ron, what exactly did happen to my post and why?
Why aren't pm s on your site really private messages?
Any bets this post doesn't get a reply from Ron?
I really wonder how he can continue to post here honorably, anyway, after the deletion of my post, and pretend to be one of the group.
Also, as most of us here started seeking another site other than his because, i suppose, of his actions to the M151 group, why does he really feel comfortable here?
Don't worry too much about the m151 guys in the future, Ron, as if you and your good close friend, the moderator, continue to act like this on the G-503, your m151 section will become increasingly unfriendly and irrelevant to many others, too, i suspect.

I have had it on this subject, some may say 'thank god, top!', and if i did drive it too far into the ground, well, that's just the way I am. I despise hyopcracy.
