Best source for buying parts

Gents,
Looking to buy a bunch of parts for my winter work. However, my usual source (Army Jeep Parts) seems to be out of business. I'm looking for a source to order all my parts at once (brake parts, wheel seals, diff seals, etc.). I know there is a list of dealers in the "Resource List." However, they all (the ones still operating) seem to have one or two of the items I need but no one seems to have everything I need. I really prefer to avoid chasing individual parts from 20 different sellers and always wary of sellers on ebay (mostly cause I'm buying parts one at a time).
Anyone have a suggestion on a good source selling basic parts.

Well, if AJP did go out of business there is a LOT, and I mean a WHOLE LOT of parts that are going to be dumped on the market soon. He has been buying out every dealer that has closed up for the last ten years and has a pretty good lock on most of the transmission and internal engine parts for M151's. He also knows this and charges accordingly. I have not heard anything about them closing and they are only 25 miles from me. I do not buy from them due to the aforementioned prices. But their are many others out there, Red River, Rapco, Frontline, TJ Murray. You have to keep in mind also that the M-151 has now been out of service for 30 years roughly and spare parts are starting to dry up.

Thanks rickf. Some good leads I will be following up on. I am interested in why I can't reach AJP. Tried pretty much everything. Phone call gets an out of service recording.and online doesn't work either (at least for me). Anyway, thanks for your time. It is greatly appreciated.

I have found that shopping around for parts from all of the different vendors is what you have to do. There's no one stop shop for everything (except maybe that giant government warehouse in the Indiana Jones movie).

Make a post of parts needed here first, several members around with parts, if someone has parts they're usually cheaper than the vendors. Be sure to compare prices as they are all over the place, I buy most of my stuff from Red River Parts in East Texas. They have tons of M151 parts, they have an Ebay store, contact them if you don't see what you need, good guys.

Is Owens still in the military surplus business? Everything I see on his pages related to military stuff is sold and outdated. I have not heard anything at all from him in a long time now.

Rick its been a couple of years since I reached out to Steve for parts but the last time I did he responded. I am guessing he is still in business, a large part of his business is providing MV's to Hollywood for movies.

In my short time with the m151, I’ve found that the networking aspect for parts has proven useful. When finding a particular part someone has, I’ll ask if they also have x, y, z? Have found some good stuff that way. Also found a source a few hours away from me for some things so that saves on shipping. It doesn’t hurt to find anyone local with MVs. The nearby guys I’ve talked to have stuff stashed away and ya never know what they’re willing to sell unless you ask. Lastly, I’ve toyed with finding a donor Jeep…just in case.

I have found hat donor vehicles usually end up either rotting away in the yard because they are no better than the one you are working on and now you need even more parts which brings up the second scenario. Now you feel you need to fix up both of them and unless you have unlimited disposable income you will go broke in the process.
