Deep Fording Depth?

The -10 states no deeper than 60 inches. Does anyone know what the practiced safe depth is?

deeper than that and the driver will need scuba gear

I would say 18-25 inches would be the optimum depth, as it keeps most of the critical components out of harms way.

Have any of you guys with the kit installed tried it out? I have to try it at least once. Of course I'll make sure I have any and all bugs worked out first.

I haven't used a fording kit, but did use a Snorkel in a pool once.
