Carburetor offered by Milplus

Unread post by sarmadq » April 27th, 2009, 2:06 pm

Hi all,

I wanted to know if anyone has tried out the carburetor offered by Milplus, based in Italy. They claim to have a remanufactred carb with an improved nozzle, which in return gives you "low fuel consumption, no troubles in low gears & hiccups at cold starts" :!:

The NOS ones offered by TNJMURRAY are $255 (Euro 195) where as this one by Milplus is 380 euros ($499). We are talking about a $244 difference here  , just a bit less in getting another one for a spare and I think John would give 2 in $499 8)

Thanks, that's what I thought too about the price.
Sorry all, I just posted away without conducting a prior search.

Hey Sam,

If we all did searches before we asked a question, nobody would be posting in the tech forum. Rick has answered every question at least twice on the old board, and has a good start getting to all of them here too. :D No apology necessary, your among friends.

Beat me to it, I just got home. The Mil plus carb is not worth the money by a long shot.

hello

if you have a old carburetor take it apart and clean it with a ultrasound device and put a new big kit in it
this works and is a lot cheaper
part nr 5704523 big $ 60.00 :) TNJ Murray better than $225.00 for a new one
only it is "original" to set the choke valve not complete open
i get more satisfaction if i repair it as tad i put new parts on my mutt :D

greetings
george

Sam,
the guy in Kharian has a bunch of NOS carbs, if you are looking for a spare, i can get you one if you want it.
