So what you're saying is you need to do a full restoration on the vehicle. Just remember it's like eating an elephant. One bite at a time. Focus on one small project, then the next and then the next and then it will be all done.
Good luck with your project.
Good luck with your project.
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

The thing that kills me is it’s the first jeep I ever got over 8 years ago and it never seems to make any progress
Also the unemployment thing doesn’t help
It’s just frustrating,

Look on the bright side. Living in PA will save you alot in shipping. Of course no job = no cash so it won't matter much. Nows the time to do a ful restore on it because it doesn't cost anything to strip her down and since your not working you don't have work gig getting in the way. As far as money goes, don't you have a plasma bank in your area? You can sell some for cash if you can stand needles.

Re: great now im depressed
well
when scrap was high i was doing ok, i would go out on cleanup nights and cut the cords off all the aplaiances with copper at $2 a pound
i would also pick up all the old lawnmowers and strip all the aluminum engines with aluminum at $1.40 a pound
and pick up anything metal and relitively heavy
making a good bit of money
but now with steel at $2 per 100 lbs i cant even cover the gas
copper got a little better it went back up from $0.90 to $1.40 a pound
alu is still at $0.35
I've got elevendy million resumes out, actually its about time to send out another wave
i take any odd job i can get its not much mony but it keeps gas in the truck and covers student loan bills comeing in

If you're not working, that gives you time to make repairs on existing parts.

Re: great now im depressed
I think I found a solution
My cj2a/MB clone is the closest to being street legal according to my fleet analysis
New brake system, fully functional electrical system 98% of important parts in place,
However it’s missing all the soft top parts and everything that bolts on the tub, jerry can holder, body grab handles ect
I think I'm going to put all my effort into getting it on the road so when I get frustrated/depressed I can go for a joy ride
the fleet condition list looks like this
#1 cj/MB clone
#2 M38-a1
#3 M151-a1
#4 willys station wagon
