Raymond thanks I'll keep you in mind.... yea screwdriver thats what I meant to say , ya thats it..... :D

I have some gasket paper laying around if its big enought I'll try that

Scott, The main jet size is stamped on the jet. There is a #28 and a #30. You would probably want a #30. Where do you live? Altitude may be a factor but I doubt it. The float settings are 9/32" float to gasket with the carb inverted and 3/8" drop with the carb upright. You can go a little more than 3/8 but not too much or the needle will come out of the seat. You say there is no fuel going into the bypass line? That could be two things, the small orifice in the fitting on the carb could be clogged or the fuel pump could be very weak and that could also be causing your hesitation problem. Have you done a fuel pressure and volume test? I have put the procedure on here before but if you can not find it PM me a phone number and a good time to call and I can walk you through it.
