PRC 25 before and after

Unread post by Ralph Fuller » November 26th, 2007, 9:46 am

Here are the before and after pictures of the PRC 25 that came on a M151A1 that I bought.
I used Krylon "Olive" spray cans, after using red oxide primer.

Jim:
Took about 4 hours. I sprayed lightly over the face, and took a q-tip with lacquer thinner over the white numbers and markings. I've added a couple of stickers from Rick Larsen. One to shut off the radio when starting the vehicle, and the other about not touching the antenna while transmitting.
My other Jeep has a RT 524, and they both work. My granddaughter likes to listen to the local TV station, Channel 38 in Columbus, Georgia.
I used the PRC 25 when I was Infantry and the RT 524 while on gun trucks in Transportation.
This is the RT 524

Ralph, that was a really nice job you did on the PRC 25. The 524 is not so bad either. I was lucky on my R-442 it's ok. But my non-working 524 needs max attention.

This is my 422.
