Yes. I started a thread on this one before. He changed the other auction to say it was an Encore but someone should tell him that AM General was not around until the 70's. Either way, buyer beware. Nice job on the restoration but just not a 65 M151a1 AM General. The dash plate he has on it even says M151A2.

I sent the individual e-mail about his vehicle. Below is the contents of the e-mail. I'm sure I'll get some snide comment back from the guy. Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=80765

Sir,
This is not so much of a question but a comment. Just want to inform you that the vehicle you are selling is not a real M151A-1. The parts installed on the tub maybe but the tub itself is a reproduction made by a company named Encore which is no longer in business. Also AM General didn't produce any M151's until the 70's and these would have been the A-2's. The data plate you have installed is a repro for an A-2. Also A-1'2 had smaller lights mounted on the fenders not the big A-2 lights which are installed. I'm not an Encore person but I believe they were produced in the 90's. You might want to change your description in your ad to describe it as a restored Encore. These vehicles are also just as desireable because of the heavier gauge steel tub. I hope this helps you out you put a lot of work into that vehicle and it looks great for what it is. Good luck with your auction.
