c clip

hi you all
when I removed the bottom drain plug from transmission I found attached to it ,by way of the magnet a "c clip", so does anyone have an idea where it would come from? I'll try to post a picture of it later but right now I gotta get the gear oil (lucas brand) before the store closes.

That's gonna be a tough one, how big was the clip? I can't think of many clips in the tranny, have to be in the cover area. A picture of the clip and something with it like a dime or a pen to give a size reference would help.
