question on fording kit

Unread post by 199th mp » November 26th, 2010, 9:08 am

am considering removing the fording kit--once the intake tube is off, what parts would i need to find and install on the air cleaner in order for it to work properly?

Just the cap off of the fording intake. That is the cap that was originally on the air cleaner if I remember correctly.

Don't forget the end of the tailpipe. And probably a new gasket for it with new hardware.

thanks guys--i still have the tailpipe tip--i will probably need a new gasket if i decide to remove it--i don't have the fording valve or handle, and the hand throttle isn't connected--i can't see an instance where i would seriously need the fording kit, but if i remove it i will keep it in case i ever find the rest of the parts and want to re-install the whole thing.
