uploading an avitar
I have tried and tried to upload several avitars. I have shrunk them down to 25x25 and they still will not be accepted. What is the double plus secret code for doing so?

OMGM,
If I remember correctly, the avatar should not exceed 10Kb in size and should be max 80 x 80 pixels. Right-click on the avatar you want to use (it should be a JPG or a GIF) and click on properties. If it exceeds 10Kb, run it through your your photo-editor to adjust the density. As you reduce the density, the size of the image may increase, so keep checking until you get the balance correct between size (around 80x80) and volume (10Kb or less).
My avatar (to the right) is around 2Kb and is 80x58.
Ken
Kind regards....
Ken

Re: uploading an avitar
Problem is probably the size
Try this
If you want to add a photo go to this free site that doesn't require registering
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar
click on 'Browse' to select photo from your computer
set size to 90
click resize - it may take a few moments to resize it but not long
then select the one you want to use from the three choices
down load it to your computer
go to 'Use Control Panel'
then your Profile tab> 'Edit avatar
then "Upload from your machine'> Browse
add new image> 'Submit'
done! ...and your new avatar will go on every old post you have and all new ones.

Re: uploading an avitar
I have reduced the size of the avitar down to 25 pixils on a side...no workey. I will diddle with it more later.
Just tried it three more times using the software at the provided link. No good.
