Someone needs to make a bezel with the outline of a bat cut out of it and mount it on the light

Perhaps a cardboard modification should be made just to entice it's future owner to do a double take. Ya gotta admit it'd get some smiles

Re: M151 Searchlight kit
Where is your museum located bharr? First time poster with no signature has a museum and asking for phone numbers? I am a little skeptical. Any pictures? Not being smart but it seems like everyone has a museum nowadays. Then again, looking at my backyard some people might think I have one. Of coarse if I cataloged everything and put it all in order I just might.

Hey Bharr,
The journey to become a Lt General begins with a single post, or something like that. Friends for years have said I should open "Rainman's Neat Stuff Museum". Then when that TV show called "Hoarders" came out they just tell me I should clean this place up.

PS: My photobucket images aren't showing up for some reason. Guess that's what I get for keeping all these useless emoticons.

Hi Guys.
Dont get me on my soapbox, believe me when you open a MUSEUM you know it, its all consuming.
Problem is there is a lot of people out there trawling for donations that they pocket or for artifacts for their own collections and its killing a lot of the legitimate ones.
We dont charge or solicit money and pay for everything out of our own pockets but end up getting grouped in with the others.'

M151tx,
I saw your post on G503. The museum website is http://www.priceoffreedom.us and we are located in central North Carolina. We're small, just getting started and are converting an old school as funds are raised. We intend to dedicate each room to a separate branch of service. Our current project is hosting every 5th grader(1600 kids) in the county and they spend about 3-4 hours learning about the price of freedom- we have WW2,Korea and Vietnam vets talking to the kids to get an actual learning experience. I'm also a CMVPA member. Again, I would like to talk to you. To the other posters, yes I guess my newbie post raised eyebrows, but heck= I'm a newbie.

ATTA BOY! Sorry for the mistrust but we have been getting slammed with spammers lately and your post fit the profile.
Sort of like a reply to a Craigslist add, "I will pay you with a money order and my shipper will pick up the item".
Welcome aboard.
Rick
BTW, A newbie is a FNG but you don't want to teach the kids that one. Or most of the acronyms for that point!

Re: M151 Searchlight kit
Does anyone have any photos of how the AN/VSS-1 installs in a 151?
I'm putting mine together and I need some guidance on how this thing ties in to the wiring harness.
I have the light, rectifier, generator and regulator - cable from the light, cable from the generator to the rectifier and cable from rectifier to regulator but I do not have the cable from the regulator into the main harness.
Also, does the light cable go straight to the batteries and a set of cables from the rectifier + and - terminals to the batteries?
Getting close - just need a little help from someone who has more experience than I do.
Thanks in advance,
d

Re: M151 Searchlight kit
Thank you - I have this manual but it gives no detailed installation instructions that I can find.
Still looking. For pin outs etc that might help me tie this bad boy in and hopefully fire it up.
