volvo i think
Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
I believe its a Volvo PV Jeep, produced in the 60's as a anti-tank weapon carrier. Based on the Valp chassis, and produced in small numbers.

Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
Yes, it is a Volvo L3304 ( or in military name: pvpjtgb9031 ) all 367 was built in 1963. Based on LL3314 (laplander)
The one on your picture moose53 is not in original military condition, they were never attached with any kind of roof or even not a real windshield, only the small plastic thing in front of the driver as in my pictures. I sold mine to a guy that exported it to the USA -I beleive in 2003 or 2004- so maybe someone of you out there are aware of it now?

I agree, that was a mistake I like the version with the roll bars which can be folded away.

Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
That rollbar came after a couple of year in duty, to many accidents with rollovers due to high center of gravity caused of the recoilles rifle. I had that rollbar but didn´t used it, I thought it was heavy and ugly. Maybe stupid but ...

Then this one was probably yours http://www.g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=185379 Always liked them myself. My favorite Volvo would have to be the TGB-1111 armament carrier .

Volvo certainly did make some very utilitarian vehicles. NO creature comforts there. I still want a Sugga. Stone ugly and aggressive looking and has a roof and windows and doors.

Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
Nice! that could have been mine, quite similar, but I´m not sure, I hade som dings and dents that isn´t on the vehicle for sale. For instance on the front fender bow as visible on my pics. It could of course bee mine, if so I could really congratulate the buyer, it´s a perfect car! and the asked price is good! The reason that i Sold it was to to get money to buy a 1111 as mentioned abow, unfortunately there was no affair. I have owned 3 Volvo Sugga earlier, 2 of them in original condition and 1 with chevy smallblock and bigger wheels.

Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
I've always like Swedish MVs. The Swedes seemed to be thinking "outside the box" when it came to designing their vehicles. The L3304 that I linked too used to be for sale on David Uhrig's site; http://www.armyjeeps.net a while ago. Odd that it should be for sale again so soon. Did they have independant suspension or solid axles?

how about this one? I saw it when I visited East Anglia (eastern England) about three weeks ago. I took photos for George....he has one already but you can't have enough of a good thing.
The guy wanted £2,500 for it.....it hadn't run for 10 years though.....

Kind regards....

Re: Only car I ever regret I sold
Volvo TP21 "Sugga" RAPTGB915, about 720 car built in the 50´s. I have owned 3 of them. It is heavy, underpowered, thirsty... and just lovely! Vaccumpowered diff locks in both front and rear axles. Non synchro gearbox. The axles are really overdimensioned. Really havey things. 3,6 litre flathead engine, 90 hp, It weighs 2880kg. Good space in rear seat, not so good in front.
