Can anybody vouch for the Mutt in Miljeep's picture? The paint looks pretty glossy and typically only major commands were identified on utility vehicles; (SAC, TAC, MAC) instead of squadron designation.

A quick search has revealed that this Mutt is a display vehicle at the Titan Missile Museum in Arizona.

You know, If you are going to put a vehicle on display have a little pride! Put a decent set of tires on it and at least paint the jackstands flat black so they don't stand out like sore thumbs!!!
Had to be a military officer in charge of that display, Major or above.

Look like that front bumper is on upside down.

Took a truck load of MUTT parts to the sand blaster Tuesday. Got them back and we're priming them with GCI red primer.

The ugly rims on the Beetle in the back ground and the fact you are allowed to paint outdoors AND at a Public storage facility.

Yeah, pretty much all of that. Since I'm working three restorations, but one priority one, I bulked lots of parts together. They all got sand blasted and primed. Some will be blue, other will be either tan or green. Seemed silly just to do the ones for the blue MUTT.

That VW has been sitting there for over two years. Not sure who owns it. The guy who lives in the storage unit next to it (and has for the past 4 years) keeps an eye on it.

Actually there are two units that are occupied. The guy who watches the VW keeps the bathroom spotless. There is no shower. I don't spend a lot of time around them, and my sinus' have been compromised, so I have no idea about the smells. I think it is a step above the homeless masses we have down here, and both work odd jobs and don't panhandle. I can't see a real negative side to it.
