Very clean but not all original. Besides all of he bogus markings and WWII bumper rope look at the front fenders, turn signals. The odd part is that they are are on original reinforcing plates. A 62 would not have had this as evidenced by the lack of the third brake light. the body is 62 since it has the proper drains and rear lights. Also an A2 motor complete with A2 fuel system and charging system. And the brake lines underneath are shoddy from front to rear.Very low starting price, I am curious to see where the price ends up. I put it at around 14.

Well he certainly is not trying to hide anything. Looks like a nice rig, even if the motor is not correct. The stickers are an easy fix.

Re: 1962 USMC A1 on Ebay - Not mine
Shouldn't the 62 have dual air vents?
Re: 1962 USMC A1 on Ebay - Not mine
The color don't look right as well all that Rickf said, the pictures I have don't show the engine, etc, the arm on the mirror looks too long.

Mark it's like everything else. Being familiar with stuff makes it easier to see all those things that are 'off'. Just like at your work, you know what's 'right' and what isn't.
Some people are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything
Re: 1962 USMC A1 on Ebay - Not mine
Kaiser had dual vents and Ford did not. That is what I have been able to figure out so far. Yes, the color looks like WWII, you can directly compare it to the choppers behind it. I would guess that between the bumper rope and the style of the printing all over it and the color that the owner was a WWII fan.

Re: 1962 USMC A1 on Ebay - Not mine
In mid 1962 they M151s went from 2 to 1 air vent as they used the bodies up that had 2 vents. I had an april of 62 that has one and a June of 62 that had 2. So right around there is where the 2 were phased out. The 12-60 Ford I have of course has 2. There are a few other issues such as the later A1 transmission housing (no retainer for the yokes), what appears to be 2 bumper rear a-arms and the wrong hood and windshield. overall nice mutt, it's at 11k right now.
