Having been cooped up and lazy this winter, we are again tardy with pictures of the never ending projects.
Hardtop door handles gave us all sorts of grief, for a while, and the starter has been acting up all Summer.

Quoted from Swayze's post on the Eastwind site today.
With the Bantam menace gone out of the way 6033 got a chance to nip into the nice heated shop so Stagg could round out his service work.
Main goal was to finish up the heater install and generally reassemble the thing but it was still suffering from it's slow cranking grumpyness so we elected to try out a solenoid install like the one on 6001. The nice trick with this install is that it goes in completely in addition to the current system thus providing a completely new positive path to the starter which would id problems with either the positive cable or the start switch. Stagg got it all wired in and suffered the same slow crank issue. That left pretty much just the ground leg so after an aggressive cleaning of the main ground 6033 was back to cranking well and fired right up.
Just need to finish final assembly tomorrow then pull it out of the shop and let it warm up so Stagg can enjoy some of that happy good times heater and hard top fun in the single digit cold tomorrow,

What the pictures do not show is the rebuilt, cooling system.
Radiator got taken apart, and inspected.
-Mangled fins were combed out.
- 3.4lbs of dirt was washed and blown out from between the fins.
-Lose and broken bits were soldered back on.
-Everything was stripped down and then repainted.
-Heater was finally installed completely

Pictures once I get them uploaded to a computer.
Rear prop-shaft sheared off two bolts on the tranfercase yoke and then mangled itself, yesterday.
Thankfully it had only just started rolling and didn't do much damage.
Exhaust piping got whipped pretty good, but was old already. Its replacement is in a box here at the house already.
The prop-shaft itself is now boomerang shaped, and I am looking for its replacement.
But equally important, is how/why?
I have been something of a religious zealot in regards to PMCS, so greasing the u-joints was not the issue.
Could it be old age? They have about 3-4000 miles on them! So at some point I guess they might wear out.
Perhaps the drive shaft had become bent (hard to judge now) and stressed the bolts holding the u-joint to the yoke?
