You will get more power from that carb than the 12848. Not much, but that extra 1/2 horse is a lot when you only have 71 of them to begin with.

If you can get hold of some Kroil you should try that. I swore by Blaster but someone sent me some Kroil and it works so much better. I used it years ago when a friends father used to get it from work but they no longer sell it around here. I just got some correspondence from them where I can get it through my business name direct from them.

My por 15 gas tank kit came in the mail so I'll probably give it a shot next weekend

Also got my exhaust seals and hanger kit so I can run the engine with the muffler attached if I want I guess

Still no update on the body repair

Waiting to see if those u-joints are going to fit properly.
Some people are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

Yeahhhhh... Those channel locks are WAY too small...not because they won't adjust to a larger size but bigger channel locks are going to give you SO much more leverage. I'm betting you will eventually manage with that little bitty one but in the long run you'll thank yourself if you acquire a larger one.

Those shafts are looking pretty good, by the way.

They fit the diameter but are they the correct length? The main issue is the distance from cap to cap. If that is not right then the joint will move side to side in the caps and you can have a vibration.

Do the welding with myself and my friends over time
Going to pick up the body and all the cmd panels I gave them
Then install the lower body repair kit as best I can and try to fab a lower cross member with lots of measuring before mounting the suspension back on
There is no way I can work on this if it's not rolling unfortunately I just don't have the space then I'm going to Korea for a year and it will get stored.......
