There is a member here who has one in a M38 or some other kind of Jeep but he bought it that way. It is not original if that is what you are looking for.

I seen a M170 with a mutt drive train in it. They even managed to get he front and rear axles powered.

hi

the only vehicle i know is the Hawk missile loader XM501
it has a m151 engine with a automatic gearbox and hydro pump at the right side of the engine

look at the manual below at page 251 and 256

I've seen the hercules engine in farm machinery/equipment before, it was quite a while ago

I can tell you from my experience, if you drive a mutt without a drive shaft (power to rear) the yoke works it way out and you lose all your 90 weight oil in the transmission.

I have posted that warning many, many times. Same for the front shaft.

But you are talking about the transmission. Not the engine as the original question was...

I wonder how our famous member HK wanted to solve the joke topic with his solid axle conversion.

"Supposedly", Or should I say "Allegedly" he went 140 MPH (his words) in that thing so I guess he figured it out. NOW, If you believe that I have a WHOLE raft of stuff for sale!!! Actually it would not be hard to do, A short stub shaft to a carrier bearing and then a slip jointed drive shaft from there to the live axle.

Friend of mine put on on a spudder (cable drilling rig) but wasn't geared low enough ...no low range like a willys....
slowest mutt east of the missippi..
